Sawmill Has Vital Downtown Treasures

Just north of Old Town Albuquerque and Plaza Vieja, the Sawmill Area neighborhood houses many of the treasure features of Downtown Albuquerque. It’s home to popular tourist attractions like the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science and several other hot spots for tourists and locals. Plus there are a number of local businesses that help the Albuquerque economy flourish.

Tourist Attractions in Sawmill Albuquerque

Besides the museums in the Sawmill Area, one popular destination for both tourists and locals is Ponderosa Brewing. At any given time, they have 10 or more local brews on tap, including their beloved Ghost Train I.P.A. In fact, they named many of their brews to give a nod to the historic Sawmill Area, like Rip Saw Red.

Another hotspot in the area is Casa Esencia—an upscale cocktail lounge and nightclub housed in a renovated hacienda. It’s been a landmark with the National Register of Historic Places since 1976 and people love that it has an elegant atmosphere.

Best Restaurants in the Sawmill District

One of our favorite places to eat in the Sawmill District is Seasons Rotisserie and Grill. It’s an American restaurant with a great patio and customers rave about their seafood offerings, especially their scallops, calamari, and salmon. And even though it’s an upscale restaurant, that doesn’t mean it isn’t family-friendly! One Google reviewer, Chuck L., shared,

“Great food and great service! Our young daughter loved everything about it and our server was great with her. We will definitely be coming back.”

And if you’re looking for something quick in Sawmill, there is a Starbucks with a drive-through as well. Grab your caffeine fix and a sandwich or snack on the go.

Air Purifiers and Ozonators for Albuquerque Homes and Businesses

For those concerned with the indoor air quality of their home or workplaces, there are other solutions as well. Ask the team at Bosque about UV lights that improve the air quality of a space, and also the option to install an Ozonator. These machines put a safe percentage of ozone into the air in your home or business to help purify the air.

I live in a new home. Why would I need to worry about the indoor air quality?

It is counterintuitive, but actually, new homes are full of potential toxins that seep out of building materials like flooring and paint. In fact, your indoor air quality isn’t “pure” unless you take actions to make it so. Without any air purification steps, the air outside is much cleaner than the air in your home.
