Silver Hill in Southeast Albuquerque Has Historic Charm

Silver Hill is a charming, older neighborhood in Southwest Albuquerque. It’s actually so well-known and loved that it is designated as Silver Hill Historic District. This designation preserves the architecture and open spaces. And with the CNM Main Campus and many historic buildings in the area, it’s definitely an Albuquerque hot spot.

Community College in Silver Hill, Albuquerque

Of course, Silver Hill is close to the University of New Mexico too. But the main campus of Central New Mexico Community College is also just to the south of the residential part of Silver Hill. The Main Campus offers over 200 associates degrees and training programs. And, CNM is nationally ranked by the U.S. Department of Education as the #1 place for both Hispanics and Native Americans to get an associate degree. More than half of the college’s 28,000 students take classes on the Main Campus so it’s a lively place to be.

Best Parks in Silver Hill, Albuquerque, NM

Because Silver Hill is well preserved, so are the parks! Roosevelt Park is a local favorite, with its beautiful mature trees and walking path. It’s common to see groups playing frisbee here. And, dogs are allowed to be off-leash at Roosevelt Park so it’s a favorite place to play fetch. Keep in mind though, there are no facilities or amenities at this park.

The Heights Community Center in Silver Hill also has a playground, and it also has a lot of other great community offerings. The center houses a dance hall, a half-court gym, a computer lab, and more. Plus, they offer youth programs, meals for at-risk youths, and swing dance lessons.

How will I know if it’s cost-effective to switch to AC from my swamp cooler in my Silver Hill home?

Unlike some of our competitors, we don’t have salespeople come to your home or business to do an estimate. For Albuquerque swamp cooler conversions, we send our trained technicians (the same people who will actually do the install) who know exactly what to look for when it comes to duct size, the layout of the home or business, current electric panel, and cost per square foot so we can determine the right move for you.

Why choose Bosque Heating and Cooling to do your Albuquerque air conditioning install?

We’ve been working in the region for 55 years and we care about finding innovative solutions for each customer. We know what works in Rio Rancho doesn’t necessarily work in Taylor Ranch. And what works in Taylor Ranch might not work in Silver Hill. We know and care about this community and we care about finding you the most cost-effective solution for your situation.
